KENNETH KALLINA - Athletic Director

Mr. Kallina comes to us from Evans High School in Orlando, Florida where he spent the last two years as a social studies instructor, head girls basketball, and volleyball coach. At Evans, Coach Kallina was part of a social studies department which increased AP testing and rigor at on of Orlando's most challenging schools. As a coach, Mr. Kallina took a team that won 3 games prior to his tenure at Evans to a 9 and 10 win season each of the past two years. Before coming to Evans, Mr. Kallina was the basketball coach at Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville for three years; he was also a substitute teacher. In 2005, Mr. Kallina was nominated by his peers at FHSAA Class 5A coach of the year. Mr. Kallina graduted fro the University of North Florida in Jacksonville in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in History and minor in Criminal Justice. Prior to his stint in Jacksonville, Mr. Kallina graduated from Winter Park High School in 2002 and was member of the varsity basketball team. Mr. Kallina is coming to Central Florida Prep as Athletic Director. He plans to add high school athletics to an already well rounded education at Central Florida Prep. Mr. Kallina is single and resides in College Park with his cat Rusty.

Christine is a native of Indiana. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in 1977. In college she was a member of the Women’s Golf and Track Teams. She began her career in physical education at the YMCA of Greater St. Louis, where she taught a variety of fitness and swimming classes. Chris also taught and coached in the St. Louis public school system before moving to Florida in 1985. She now has 30 years of teaching and coaching experience in grades K-12, where she has taught Physical Education, Driver’s Education and coached a variety of middle school and high school sports. Christine was chosen as The Sport’s Authority National Coach of the Year in 2002.
ANGELA SETON - Art Teacher

Angela Seton graduated from the University of South Florida, in Tampa Florida. She has two degrees: The first degree is a Bachelor of Arts, and the second degree is a Bachelor of Theatrical Lighting and Scenic Design. After graduating, she went to work for Disney in the Live Entertainment Department. After 10 years there, she transferred to the Disney Animation Department where she worked on several Disney movies. Lilo and Stich, Mulan, Tarzan, Hercules, and John Henry. After taking time off to be with family, she worked with MY Design, Inc. A local design company for the entertainment business. She loves books, kids, traveling and doing any kind of arts and crafts!
DON SMITH - Music Teacher

Don is a native of Alabama. He moved to the Orlando area in 2006. Don graduated from Huntingdon College with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Church Music Degree, specializing in Voice and Music Theory. He has been a Worship Pastor for more than 20 years. He started several succesfull children's choir programs in the churches he served. He worked as a substitute teacher for the Orange County Public School System during the 2006-2007 school year. He is a substitute vocalist for the Voices of Liberty at Walt Disney World and Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine. He enjoys cooking, swimming, fishing, going to theme parks, playing piano and singing. Don joined CFP in August 2007.
EDNA HIRSCH - Librarian

Edna Hirsch graduated from high school in New York in 1945. She married
in 1947 and subsequently gave birth to a son and three daughters. While
her children were in school, Mrs. Hirsch began to volunteer in their school
library. In 1984, she and her husband moved to Florida. Mrs. Hirsch took
a full-time job as a librarian in the Orange County Public School System.
Widowed since 1988, Mrs. Hirsch has been the librarian at CFP since 2004.

Mrs. Slechta was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She graduated from
Pine Castle Christian Academy High School and received her AA Degree from
Valencia Community College. From there she attended and graduated from
Webster University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Business Administration
and Computer Applications. At the age of eight she began Figure Skating
and went on to obtain a bronze metal at the Florida State Games. During
the summers she trained in North Carolina. She has been married to her
husband Doug for fourteen years and has a stepson Daymond, who graduated
from CFP in 2007. He is now attending Valencia
Community College. She also has a daughter Sarah, who currently attends
CFP’s elementary program.
